Whatever Your Preferred Coffee Recipe, Savor The Moment

Part of what makes ordering coffee at a coffee house so joyful is the anticipation of the steaming cup of coffee. As you wait, you’re breathing in the comforting coffee smell and listening to the espresso machine hum along as cup after cup of joy are prepared for eagerly waiting coffee-connoisseurs.

Today, when you brew your cup of coffee, don’t rush through the process. Savor the aroma of freshly-ground coffee and the sound of coffee percolating. Enjoy watching the abstract dance of the creamer as it swirls into the coffee.

Try This Coffee Recipe For A Swoon-Worthy At-Home Coffee Creamer

Instead of store-bought creamers laced with artificial sweeteners and hard-to-pronounce ingredients, make your own coffee creamer at home! Simply add a splash of flavored extract to heavy cream (or half and half), and sweeten to taste (I love adding adding liquid stevia).

Here are some fun combos for at-home coffee creamers:

  • Cinna-nilla: 1/2 tsp Cinnamon extract + 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract + 2 cups half & half + sweeten to taste
  • Hazelnut : 1/2 tsp Hazelnut extract + 2 cups half & half + sweeten to taste
  • Double Vanilla: 1/2-1 tsp Vanilla Extract + 1 Vanilla Bean Pod (scrape the beans from the pod & add to creamer) + 2 cups half & half + sweeten to taste
  • Maple-Nut: 1/4 cup maple syrup + 1/2 tsp Almond Extract + 2 cups half & half

Love the taste of espresso but don’t have a machine?

Use an easy cold brew recipe for an intense coffee-concentrate. This cold brew recipe is the perfect base for fancy homemade iced coffee and for hot lattes (pumpkin spice latte, anyone?). If you plan on making a hot coffee recipe, just heat the cold brew and layer with frothy, steamed milk.
